Purpose of the Job
To operate lab equipment and deliver analysis results to the board operator, operate field equipment in three production units, monitor preventive maintenance, operate process control boards, direct the team, and maintain a safe and environmentally sound environment.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities Accountability 1:Safety, Health, Environment (SHE)
- Commit to the INEOS 20 Principles of Process and Behavioral Safety.
- Maintain safety as the highest priority, adhering to all safety policies.
- Perform Lockout/Tagout on certified equipment.
- Issue permits for work involving hot work and confined spaces.
- Observe operating procedures and eliminate deviations.
- Prioritize safe operation or shutdown of assets over production.
- Ensure actions are within competency and training limits.
All Process Operators
- Handle product waste properly and follow GMP throughout the block.
- Maintain lab and plant process knowledge through continuous training.
- Perform tasks safely as outlined in SOPs and practice good housekeeping.
- Support management and operations to meet plant needs.
- Comply with environmental and regulatory procedures.
- Analyze and offload raw materials as needed.
- Prepare equipment for maintenance and perform minor maintenance activities.
Initial Grade / Outside Operator
- Record analytical results in LIMS and deliver them to the board operator.
- Catch and analyze process and tank samples for quality.
- Conduct routine lab rounds and minor troubleshooting.
- Report equipment issues, including leaks, and align valving for pumping tanks.
- Lockout/Tagout and issue safe work permits in the EOA and GE plants.
- Begin training for the PEG plant after required level reviews.
Mid-Grade / Board Operator
- Rotate in the Outside Operator position and perform tasks safely.
- Enter batch data accurately in the Producer program.
- Complete PEG batches from start to finish.
- Operate and adjust the MOD Process Control System (DCS).
- Conduct outside rounds and troubleshoot field equipment in the PEG plant.
- Lockout/Tagout and issue safe work permits in the PEG plant.
- Coordinate with the contract loading group to load PEG products.
Top Grade / Outside & Board Operator
- Monitor process conditions of Ethanolamines, Glycol Ethers, and assist the PEG operator.
- Operate the DCS for EOA and GE assets efficiently.
- Coordinate loading of EOA and GE products with the contract loading group.
- Communicate with raw materials feeders and service departments.
- Record product transfers and report plant performance.
- Perform process control adjustments based on analytical results.
- Act as a First Responder to emergency services.
- Education:
High School or Equivalent;
Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Process Technology preferred. - Chemical plant operations experience preferred.
- Basic chemistry knowledge preferred.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Good math skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and safety-minded.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to work rotating shift work, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to wear PPE, including respirator.
Indoor work may require exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 20 pounds frequently. Outdoor work exposes the worker to fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.

- Reliability >99 %.
- First Pass Prime >99 %.
- Compliance with EPA, GMP, DOT and OSHA regulations.
- Meet all departmental annual training and progression goals.
