Blender Operator

Overview

As a General Production team member at Smithfield Foods, you will help produce safe, high‑quality pork products for consumers. Your work will support an efficient production line and help our company meet safety, quality, and teamwork standards every day.

• Process meat products using hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment.
• Work within scheduled shifts and cooperate with team members to ensure production goals are met.
• Maintain a safe and efficient production line.
• Help ensure products reach families across the United States while upholding safety and quality standards.

• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Capable of performing continuous or repetitive movements such as grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms.
• Ability to stand on concrete or platforms up to 12 hours, work in cold or hot environments, and use personal protective equipment.
• Work around animal blood and carcass parts, and manage sanitation chemicals.
• May require certification to operate specific equipment.

• Operate in cold areas approximately 20-40 degrees Fahrenheit or warm areas over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Work in wet, humid, noisy environments while wearing PPE.
• Climb or move on ladders, steps, and platforms.
• Bend, stoop, twist repetitively throughout shift.
• Walk long distances.
• Maximum overhead lifting up to 30 pounds; single lifts up to 60 pounds.
