Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the company by assisting with various tasks related to assembly and maintenance of equipment and materials. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIALDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to put together parts according to design specifications.
- Ensure that the assembled products meet quality standards.
- Trouble shoot and resolve assembly issues.
- Perform routine maintenance to keep assembly equipment in proper working condition.
- Collaborate with engineers and quality control specialists to improve the assembly process.
- Report any issues or deviations from the standard process.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Interpret and communicate blueprints and/or shop drawings to understand assembly instructions and product specification for assembly and installation.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
- Understanding different units of measurement and ability to read and comprehend measuring instruments.
- Attention to detail to ensure precision in assembly tasks.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
- Mechanical skills with a passion for working on machinery and other mechanical projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment, with a background in manufacturing or assembly and experience with process improvement techniques (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
