Crane Production Manager

A diversified South Louisiana company with operations in Houma, Braithwaite, and Ponchatoula, EBI is seeking an experienced Production Manager to support and oversee daily production activities at our marine crane manufacturing facility in Braithwaite, Louisiana.

This is a hands-on management position responsible for coordinating people, materials, schedules, and workflow in a fast-paced environment to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

The ideal candidate should be confident, adaptable, able to work with strong personalities, and comfortable addressing problems as needed.

Our crane manufacturing operation works closely with our Houma marine operations and our Ponchatoula machining facility. As the company continues to grow and integrate its manufacturing capabilities, this position will play an important role in the future development and consolidation of our manufacturing operations.

• Plan and coordinate production schedules and oversee daily production activities related to marine crane manufacturing, assembly, and installation to meet client deadlines.
• Supervise and coordinate production personnel, including welders, assemblers, painters, warehouse personnel, and crane service technicians.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and operations personnel.
• Monitor availability of materials, components, tools, and equipment needed to maintain production schedules.
• Work with purchasing and warehouse personnel to identify material requirements and prevent production delays.
• Identify production bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Review job progress and communicate status, delays, and anticipated completion dates to management.
• Work closely with the Quality Control department to address deficiencies and ensure required documentation is completed.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Support the integration of machining, fabrication, and crane manufacturing capabilities as the company continues to develop its operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous experience and a strong understanding of production, manufacturing, and fabrication.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and specifications.
• Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook

Our crane manufacturing and machining operations are closely connected. As part of the company’s long-term growth strategy, we anticipate expanding these capabilities at our Ponchatoula, Louisiana facility.

The selected candidate should be comfortable with the possibility that the production operation and this position may transition to Ponchatoula. This transition is part of our effort to bring manufacturing capabilities together and create a stronger, more efficient operation.
