Rock Shoveling Laborer
A rock shoveling laborer manually loads, moves, spreads and clears gravel, stone or rock debris within industrial manufacturing environment.
Obtain certified departmental training.
Follow operating procedures for optimal performance.
Scoop, lift, and throw rocks, gravel or stone using hand tools.
Spread evenly across trenches, roads or grade surfaces.
Load and unload material from trucks or wheelbarrows.
Clear debris, trash and hazards from work area.
Put up warning signs and traffic cones as needed for safety.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), follow environmental protocols, and maintain a clean work area.
Quick learner and team-oriented individual.
High regard for safety and environmental performance.
Must be able to lift fifty pounds or more over a long shift.
Must be able to stand, bend and shovel for many hours.
Must be able to work outside in hot, cold, or wet weather.
Must be able to work in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Must be cleanly shaven.
Must have Steel-Toe Boots.
Must have unexpired Driver's License/.
Must have a TWIC Card.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Ability to stand for long periods and frequently lift heavy loads (often up to 50 lbs).
Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled, industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and noise.
