2 Shift times – Primary shift will be assigned upon hire; employees may be required to work alternate shift based on operational needs.

1st shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (may begin earlier than 7 am)

2nd shift: 3:30 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. (may work beyond midnight)

Holidays, weekends & overtime: must be available to work as needed

Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hr

Our client is currently seeking Hydroblasters to work in Ascension Parish and surrounding areas. DRUG TEST REQUIRED.

Basic Function:

Under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, the Hydro Blaster assists in unloading bundles off trucks. Places bundles on the cleaning fixtures and operates cleaning equipment to clean bundles. Once bundles are cleaned, they are prepped for shipment and loaded on truck for delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Background in boilermaker bolt up (assembly and disassembly of heat exchangers)
• Experience operating rigid water lances
• Experience operating automated hydro blasting systems
• Experience operating a hand-held barracuda hydro blaster
• Experience with 2-L flex lancing
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, holidays, weekends

Essential Duties:

• Unload and load Heat Exchanger Equipment from trucks
• Prepare cleaning equipment for each job
• Maintains appropriate housekeeping of Cleaning Shop
• Performs minor maintenance on equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance on the equipment
• Inspects finished product
• Prepare finished product for shipment
• Performs assigned tasks in a safe manner, avoiding all unsafe practices
• Performs internal quality control of cleaning procedures
• Sets up and performs jobs based on shop practices and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by supervision

Qualifications:

Education - H.S. diploma or equivalent.

Experience/Knowledge – Prior experience operating high-pressure water blasting equipment in an industrial environment preferred. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is a plus.

Skills – Understands basic mechanics to troubleshoot and adjust equipment; ability to use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers) for minor repairs; ability to identify wear and tear on hoses, nozzles, and pumps; ability to clean and lubricate moving parts to prevent breakdowns.

Safety Awareness – Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Communication – Effective verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions and collaborate with team members.

Attention to Detail – Keen eye for detail to ensure thorough cleaning and adherence to safety standards.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in heat, noise, dusty, cold, chemical exposures, pinching hazards, stand for long periods of time, some bending, stooping, push/pull, twisting, squatting, lifting & climbing, requires 50 lb. lifting ability, and exposure to normal shop hazards.
