** initiative## What You'll DoAs a
** Maintenance Mechanic**, you'll maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment used in metal packaging production.

Responsibilities include:

* Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify mechanical equipment and production machinery
* Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment
* Diagnose mechanical failures and minimize equipment downtime
* Inspect, repair, and replace bearings, chains, gears, belts, conveyors, pumps, and other mechanical components
* Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges with tolerances up to **.0010
*** Perform equipment inspections and document maintenance activities
* Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency
* Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability## Qualifications We're looking for candidates with:
* High school diploma, GED, or vocational/technical education
* 2+ years of Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, or Industrial Maintenance experience desired
* Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment
* Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
* Ability to read measuring instruments and work with close tolerances
* Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to safety and quality

Manufacturing, food production, packaging, automotive, steel, paper, plastics, chemical processing, or similar industrial maintenance experience is highly preferred.## Why Silgan?
