Job Description
The Marketing and Communications (Mar Com) Specialist reports to the Director of Communications at the Tulane University
A.
B. Freeman School of Business. The Mar Com Specialist creates compelling written and editorial content for various Freeman channels. The Mar Com Specialist writes alumni stories, class notes, faculty and student coverage pieces, admissions copy and communication and assists with the Freeman Business magazine and Freeman News story compilation and production. The Mar Com Specialist assists in implementing marketing strategies to promote Freeman’s programs, events and initiatives through various platforms.
Additionally, the Mar Com Specialist assists with administrative duties as needed, including invoice and PO processing, payment management, product and professional services ordering, as well as campus marketing and advertising with other schools.
- Bachelor's Degree in English, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
- 3 years demonstrated relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of managing and executing administrative Marketing duties, budget management and vendor payment management.
- Recent marketing and communications experience in an institution of higher education or a non-profit organization similar to higher education.
