JOB DESCRIPTION
Newcomb-Tulane College (NTC) is seeking a creative, detail-oriented and motivated Marketing and Communications Student Intern to join our team. This position is ideal for a student interested in gaining hands-on experience in digital media, content creation and strategic communications within a collaborative higher education environment.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and publication of engaging content across NTC’s social media platforms, including writing copy and creating reels and graphics.
- Design various digital and print graphics using tools such as Adobe Express, Cap Cut and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Assist in building and organizing NTC’s photography and videography archives, including event photography.
- Stay current on social media trends and suggest timely, relevant content ideas.
- Provide on-site communications support at Newcomb-Tulane College events.
- Monitor social media performance metrics and provide insights on top-performing content.
- Serve as a thoughtful focus group member to provide input on things like website structure, email marketing tactics and content strategy.
- Help manage marketing inventory as needed, including promotional items and supplies.
- Perform other communications-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Tulane University undergraduate student in good academic standing. First and second-year students are highly encouraged to apply.
- Interest in marketing, communications, journalism, graphic design or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
- Experience with social media platforms, especially Instagram and Tik Tok.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or Adobe Express preferred.
- Basic photography/videography skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Interest in being behind and in front of the camera.
- Ability to collaborate with other interns and undergraduate students on content creation.
- A communicative self-starter who can work both remotely and in-person as needed.
- Willingness to work occasional campus events outside regular hours.
