The Stuart and Suzanne Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience and Tulane Jewish Studies are seeking a creative, organized, and reliable student worker for the Fall 2026 semester to support social media, communications, and campus outreach.
Job DescriptionThe Stuart and Suzanne Grant Center for the American Jewish Experience and Tulane Jewish Studies are seeking a creative, organized, and reliable student worker for the Fall 2026 semester to support social media, communications, and campus outreach.
This is a joint position supporting both the Grant Center and Jewish Studies. Approximately five hours per week will be dedicated to social media and communications work, including creating promotional materials, sharing upcoming programs on social media, and helping increase awareness of events across the Tulane community.
Responsibilities- Design polished digital and print flyers for Grant Center and Jewish Studies events and programs.
- Create and edit graphics using Canva and format promotional materials for Instagram, Facebook, digital distribution, and print.
- Post approved flyers, event announcements, and other content on Instagram and Facebook.
- Print flyers and distribute them in designated locations throughout Tulane's campus.
- Help promote upcoming events and opportunities to Tulane students and the broader campus community.
- Make edits and revisions to promotional materials based on staff feedback.
- Ensure event information, dates, times, locations, and organizational branding are accurate before materials are posted or distributed.
- Use Asana to receive assignments, manage deadlines, track projects, and document completed work.
- Assist with additional communications and outreach projects as needed.
- Proficient and efficient in Canva, with the ability to independently create professional-quality flyers and social media graphics.
- Proficient with Instagram and Facebook.
- Strong eye for design and visual communication.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions to designs.
- Able to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Comfortable using or learning Asana for project management.
- Able to walk around Tulane's campus to distribute printed promotional materials.
