Executive Director – Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation
The Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation (LRAEF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director to lead the Foundation's strategic initiatives, daily operations, fundraising efforts, and educational programs.
The Executive Director is responsible for developing and implementing the Foundation's strategic goals while overseeing all operational, programmatic, and fundraising activities. This role provides leadership for LRAEF's signature initiatives, including the Pro Start® high school program, the LRAEF Scholars program, workforce development efforts, and registered apprenticeship programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all Foundation operations and programs.
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, sponsor ships, and special campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, industry partners, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary liaison with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation and key education partners throughout Louisiana.
- Lead engagement with the Louisiana Department of Education, Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS), parish school systems, career and technical education leaders, and high school career centers.
- Plan and administer Foundation Board meetings, governance activities, and Board communications.
- Collaborate with Louisiana Restaurant Association staff to support annual events and fundraising initiatives.
- Supervise Foundation staff, ensuring effective program management, accountability, and professional development.
- Research grant opportunities and oversee grant application and reporting processes.
- Prepare and manage the Foundation's annual operating budget, provide regular financial updates to the Board of Directors, and ensure responsible fiscal stewardship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit leadership, foundation management, or fundraising.
- Experience in education, workforce development, or career and technical education is strongly preferred.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential is desirable.
- Demonstrated success in donor cultivation, fundraising strategy, and relationship management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, staff management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
