Position Summary
The Intern position with Greater Iowa Youth for Christ is an educational and experiential opportunity to grow in non‑profit operations and ministry leadership. We will discuss the major areas of leadership formation, ministry, development, and operations. Through this opportunity, you will see the inner workings of how a ministry operates and determine whether vocational ministry or nonprofit leadership is the right fit for you.
As a part of this internship, we will expect that you serve alongside a site or ministry director to learn and perform all duties required for excellence in that ministry role. We also offer opportunities to grow your skillset and engage directly with students. Fundraising to your circle of influence will be part of the training you cover throughout this internship process.
This internship will run from September 1 to May 31.
A stipend will be paid for select interns based on potential funding sources and other qualifying criteria.

Fundraising ResponsibilitiesAll YFC employees are expected to regularly and actively participate in faithful activities that advance the stewardship functions of YFC/USA. These activities will include—but are not limited to—extending invitations to fundraising events, recruiting personal circle of influence/YFC donor contacts, sending letters, handwritten notes, personal calls, and personally ministering to donor contacts.
