Licensure in the C&MA or a willingness to obtain licensure within the next three years

Experience preferred Youth ministry or classroom experience of three years or more

Community Alliance Church in Detroit Lakes MN is a multi generational Christ Centered church that exists to abide and grow in relationship with God connect with others and reach our community and world Located in the land of lakes Detroit Lakes is a summer tourist hub with lots of fun activities for the entire family including great live music art festivals farmers market flea market mountain biking hiking fishing community festivals musical theater unique shopping lots of restaurants and anything you can think of to do on or around a lake In winter there are plenty of opportunity for downhill and cross country skiing snowshoeing ice fishing and snowmobiling

The time has come to hire our next youth pastor We are a church that highly values reaching equipping and empowering future generations We are looking for someone who is first abiding in deep relationship with Christ and out of that relationship is passionate about helping youth know love and follow Jesus Our Current Ministry Rhythms

• Wednesday Night youth gathering 6th 12th grade currently meets 6:30 8:00 pm
• Sunday morning gathering during Sunday School hour for Middle School
• Various Bible Study groups throughout the week often led by a volunteer team member or could be led by students
• 3 year rotation of Life Conference Overseas Mission Trip Domestic Mission Trip with an emphasis on partnership with C&MA missionaries
• Desire to help students understand that they are deeply loved and accepted by God discovering their identity and security in Him and from that place recognizing how they are uniquely gifted to serve others and participate in the mission of God Ephesians 210
• Working alongside a staff team that enjoys serving Jesus together We value Gospel partnership collaboration shared mission and genuine friendship This includes attending staff meetings participating in ministry planning contributing to the overall health and vision of the church and occasionally sharing a good laugh along the way
• Intentionally leading volunteer youth leaders to relationally disciple youth towards a closer relationship with Jesus
• Support and contribute to a Parent led Youth Fundraising Committee that oversees helping students see Gods provision for the good work that He has prepared in advance for them to do

• The person who thrives in this role will likely be someone who Loves Jesus deeply and leads from a vibrant personal walk with Him
• Has a genuine passion for teenagers and enjoys building meaningful relationships with students parents and volunteer leaders
• Understands the complexities and challenges students face in todays culture and delights in meeting students where they are with grace and truth
• Values discipleship more than simply running programs and is passionate about helping students know love and follow Jesus
• Believes students thrive when they experience both a secure sense of belonging and meaningful opportunities to grow serve and use their God given gifts
• Is organized enough to lead ministry rhythms and events while remaining flexible relational and attentive to the needs of students
• Enjoys recruiting encouraging and developing volunteer leaders who are committed to relationally discipling students
• Values partnering with parents and helping strengthen the relationship between home church and student
