Job Overview
The job of the New Orleans Arts Education Alliance (NOAEA) Manager is to serve as the primary staff lead for NOAEA and is responsible for coordinating the Alliance's day-to-day operations, partnerships, communications, research initiatives, and advocacy efforts. This role sits at the intersection of education, arts, policy, and community engagement. The NOAEA Manager works closely with schools, arts organizations, teaching artists, funders, government agencies, and community stakeholders to strengthen New Orleans' arts education ecosystem and advance a shared vision of arts-rich schools for every student.
The NOAEA Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and plays a key role in implementing NOAEA's strategic priorities related to data and research, ecosystem building, professional learning, and advocacy.
NOAEA Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Data, Research & EvaluationLead implementation and ongoing maintenance of the New Orleans Arts Education Access Map. Coordinate data collection efforts with schools, arts organizations, and public agencies. Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities, and equity gaps in arts education access. Develop annual reports, research briefs, dashboards, and public-facing resources. Support statewide research initiatives examining arts education access, outcomes, and policy. Translate complex findings into accessible tools and communications for educators, families, funders, and policymakers.
Convening& Ecosystem Building
Coordinate NOAEA steering committees, advisory groups, and working groups. Plan and facilitate citywide convenings, meetings, workshops, and networking opportunities monthly. Build and maintain relationships across schools, arts organizations, artists, cultural institutions, and public agencies. Serve as a connector across the arts education ecosystem, helping stakeholders identify partnership opportunities and shared goals. Support collaborative initiatives that strengthen coordination across the field.
Communications & Field EngagementProduce and manage NOAEA's monthly newsletter and communications strategy. Maintain and update public-facing resources, reports, and digital platforms. Develop stories, case studies, and impact narratives that elevate the value of arts education. Serve as a primary point of contact for schools, educators, artists, and community partners seeking information and resources. Support presentations, public speaking engagements, and community outreach efforts.
Advocacy, Policy & InvestmentMonitor local, state, and national policy developments affecting arts education. Conduct policy research and support development of advocacy priorities. Represent NOAEA at public meetings, conferences, coalitions, and community events including Louisiana Partnership For The Arts (LPA) and statewide convenings in Baton Rouge. Develop advocacy tools and resources that help stakeholders advance arts education priorities. Support efforts to increase public and private investment in arts education throughout the greater New Orleans area.
ProjectManagement & Administration
Develop and manage project timelines, work plans, budgets, and reporting requirements. Track Alliance participation, partnership activity, and key performance indicators. Support grant reporting and funder communications related to NOAEA initiatives. Maintain organized records, data systems, and stakeholder databases. Work collaboratively across KID smART departments to align NOAEA efforts with broader organizational goals.
