About the Position
Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment, focusing on mental health and behavioral support. The RN will play a leadership role by coordinating care, educating patients and families, and ensuring positive health outcomes while respecting cultural and individual diversity.

Pay Package: $25 per hour with weekly stipend of $1,100
Shift: 7pm - 7am
Required Skills
Valid RN license in Louisiana or Multistate
At least 2 years of relevant experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Current CPI Certification (within 12 months from the Crisis Prevention Institute)
Proficiency in computer systems, software, and web-based applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Ability to effectively assess patient needs and implement appropriate care strategies
Nice to Have Skills
Certification in a clinical specialty area in nursing
Additional certifications or training relevant to behavioral health or psychiatric nursing
Preferred
Education and Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (preferred over a diploma)
More than two years of experience specific to behavioral or mental health nursing
Other Requirements
Ability to work within physical demands, including exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
Flexibility to work in a healthcare setting with potential exposure to hazardous materials and waste
Commitment to maintaining professional standards in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code of Nursing, and Scope & Standards of Practice
