Location: New Orleans
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PACU RN to join a dynamic post‑anesthesia care team. This role is ideal for a nurse who excels in monitoring patients recovering from surgery and ensuring safe, smooth transitions post‑procedure.
CompensationCompetitive pay ranging from $34–$48/hour (based on experience) + shift differentials and potential overtime.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia.
- Perform post‑operative assessments and manage pain control.
- Respond to airway, cardiac, and respiratory changes.
- Administer medications and IV therapies.
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
- Educate patients and families on recovery expectations.
- Active RN license (Louisiana or compact state).
- 1+ year of PACU, ICU, or ER experience.
- BLS & ACLS required (PALS preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and monitoring skills.
