About this role: As a Clinical Manager with Fresenius Medical Care, you will ensure quality patient care while maintaining clinical operations. You will lead a close‑knit team responsible for delivering unique care plans and providing dialysis treatment to patients with end‑stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease.

PURPOSE AND SCOPE
  • Manage daily operations of the facility, ensuring cost‑effective operations in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse to provide quality patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Market available services through presentations to physicians and dialysis facilities.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Clinic Operations
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for all direct reports.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Quality, Education, and Technical Services departments.
  • Oversee the facility’s Home Therapies Program in collaboration with the Home Therapies Program Manager.
  • Maintain integrity of medical and operations records, adhering to data collection and auditing activities.
  • Ensure ICD coding, network reporting, and on‑site state or federal surveys are completed.
  • Execute short‑ and long‑term objectives, managing costs, methods, and staffing.
  • Administer daily business operations, staff actions, quality of patient care, facility maintenance, inventory control, and equipment oversight.
  • Manage profit and loss, achieving or exceeding budget and key performance indicators.
Patient Care
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge.
  • Serve as a resource for patients and families, addressing concerns and questions.
  • Oversee timely completion of patient care assessments and care plans.
  • Manage patient schedules, ensuring facility efficiency and developing action plans for missed treatments.
  • Report changes in patient status related to clinical, insurance, or transportation issues.
Staff
  • Participate in selection and hiring, ensuring completion of new hiring orientation and mandatory training.
  • Ensure all patient care employees complete appropriate training and maintain current licensures/certifications.
  • Provide support and encourage professional growth at regular intervals.
  • Maintain knowledge of company benefits, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Obtain feedback for employee evaluations, establish annual goals, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Document disciplinary actions and collaborate with Human Resources when needed.
  • Manage staff scheduling and payroll.
Physicians
  • Facilitate physician privilege applications and ensure compliance with Medical Staff By‑Laws.
  • Maintain strong physician relationships and regular communication.
  • Participate in the governing body that establishes regional policies.
Other Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Manager/Charge RN, Medical Director, and physicians to oversee direct patient care and ensure quality standards.
  • Coordinate patient care from admission to discharge and handle patient concerns and satisfaction surveys.
  • Develop efficient patient schedules and assist with workflow.
  • Implement and maintain Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Quality Assessment and Improvement Program (QAPI).
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and maintain quality policies.
  • Support FMS quality standards, including regulatory requirements and CQI tools.
  • Implement FMS quality goals, develop facility‑specific action plans, and ensure training according to policy.
  • Address safety events and action thresholds with Charge RN and Medical Director.
  • Communicate and enforce quality policies and procedures with staff.
