RN - In House Agency - OR - Orleans Region

This RN position is a temporary 8‑week assignment. The RN will lead patient care using the Nursing Process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code and the Scope & Standards of Practice. The role requires delegation, directing team members, ensuring quality outcomes, and supporting the organization's nursing philosophy.

• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, appropriate introduction, and communication style.
• Effectively use the Nursing Process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies appropriate for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources and serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embrace concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, improving the nursing profession.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Remain knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory agency requirements and ensure compliance.
• Adhere to the Compliance & Privacy Program and Standards of Conduct, reporting any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Demonstrated good judgment.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Required – Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• Required – 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.

• Required – Current RN License in the state of practice.
• Required – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred – Certification in a clinical specialty area.

• Heavy Work – Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.
• Exposure to blood, body fluid, and tissue is routine; occupational risk for communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste exists.
