Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) – Night Shift
Provide essential nursing care in a secure federal facility serving individuals detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. This role offers a collaborative clinical environment supporting ambulatory, emergency, mental health, and infirmary services.
Schedule & Work Hours- Night Shift
- Flexible scheduling: 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts
The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) delivers direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include intake screening, medication administration, emergency response, and assisting providers with a wide range of clinical treatments.
Duties /Key Responsibilities
- Perform intake screening to identify conditions requiring referral or treatment
- Administer medications via oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, topical, ophthalmic, and other approved routes
- Provide direct patient care and monitor patient status
- Perform treatments such as wound care, vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), ear lavage, phlebotomy, nebulizer therapy, and tuberculosis (TB) skin tests
- Collect laboratory specimens, perform point-of-care testing, and assist with lab processing
- Respond to medical emergencies, stabilize patients, and coordinate transfer to higher levels of care when needed
- Assist providers by gathering subjective and objective patient data
- Support clinic operations and collaborate with medical, dental, and behavioral health teams
- Participate in involuntary or court-ordered care when required
- Current, full, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in any U.S. state (Compact license preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a hospital, clinic, or residential setting
- Experience in a correctional, detention, or residential healthcare setting preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Competitive hourly rate
