Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA

We are currently recruiting for CNAs to join our Haven Nursing Center team! The person filling this position must be a certified CNA in the state of Louisiana. Residents at Haven live in units/hallways referred to as "households". CNAs are essential employees of the household team. CNAs provide direct, hands‑on care to residents in a long‑term care setting, support residents with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and assist nursing staff in delivering high‑quality, compassionate care.

This role is essential to maintaining residents' dignity, well‑being, and quality of life. CNAs works 12-hour shifts, providing more time off, including 3-days off, every other weekend.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs);
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation;
• Monitor and report changes in residents condition to licensed nursing staff;
• Obtain and record vital signs and other basic health information;
• Respond promptly to call lights and residents needs;
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized resident environment;
• Assist with meal service and hydration needs;
• Provide emotional support and respectful companionship to residents;
• Follow care plans, infection control standards, and safety procedures;
• Document care provided accurately and timely.

• Knowledge and training about caring for persons living with dementia;
• Experience working with Point Click Care clinical software.

• Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds;
• Must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, reach and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.

• Active CNA certification in the State of Louisiana;
• CPR Certification (or willing to obtain prior to employment);
• Tuberculosis screening (or chest x-ray) is required prior to employment;
