Licensed Practical Nurse - River Crossing Clinic 85%
The University of Iowa Community Clinics is seeking a patient centered Licensed Practical Nurse 85% (34 hours per week) to work at the UICC River Crossing Family Medicine Clinics. This position will mainly support our Family Medicine Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to Pediatrics and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.
Duties to include- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
- Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
- In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

SummaryUnder direct supervision of LIP, RN, NM/ANM or other licensed designee, the RN functions as a member of the patient care team, performing technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an urgent care or ambulatory setting.
Additional Duties- Staff will support our Family Medicine Clinic patients.
- Under direct supervision of physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or registered nurse.
- Performs technical, patient care and related clerical functions in an ambulatory setting.
- Duties may involve the use of electronic word/data processing equipment and/or conventional office equipment.

ScheduleVariable between Tuesday – Friday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
LocationRiverside, IA (or surrounding clinics based on clinical need or hours)
Licensure & Certifications- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Must maintain required continuing education hours.

- Driver’s License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards
- Previous Epic experience
- Minimum 1‑year ambulatory experience
