Registered Nurse ; Emergency Department

Overview

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24‑bed acute care critical access hospital in Southeast Louisiana. We serve patients of all ages in a 24‑hour emergency department. We are looking for a Registered Nurse (RN 1‑3) to join our Emergency Department and provide nursing services for emergent and non‑emergent care.

• Complete or assist with the initial assessment of patients’ needs using a five‑level triage system.
• Communicate and coordinate patient care with supervisory staff, oncoming nurses, and other disciplines.
• Collaborate with physicians, other disciplines, patients, and/or significant others to develop a plan of care.
• Facilitate appropriate referrals according to identified continuity‑care needs.

• Currently possess a Louisiana Registered Nurse license, a temporary permit, or a multi‑state license issued by a nursing licensure compact, or a nursing license from a different state.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Relevant experience in an emergency department setting is preferred.

• Salary ranges by RN level: RN 1 – $24.57/hour; RN 2 – $27/hour; RN 3 – $30/hour.
• Shift differentials:
  Shift 2 – $3/hour;
  Shift 3 – $4.60/hour; weekends and holidays – $4.60/hour; premium – $5/hour; certifications – $3/hour.
