Job Overview

This 12‑week assignment leads the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. The role requires effective delegation, direction, and assistance of licensed and ancillary team members, accountability for quality patient outcomes, and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assesses learning needs and implements teaching strategies appropriate for the diverse needs of patients, families, and other disciplines.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources (human and fiscal) and serves as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, improving the profession of nursing.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, adjusting communication style, and seeking appropriate permissions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Education
  :
  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Work Experience
  : 1 year of experience as a registered nurse.
• Certifications
  :
  Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.

  Effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to present information clearly and professionally; proficiency in using computers, software, and web‑based applications; good judgment; strong interpersonal skills.

• Heavy work:
  Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, or 10 to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.
• Tasks involve walking or standing to a significant degree, sitting most of the time with occasional pushing or pulling, and maintaining a production rate pace.
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, communicable diseases, hazardous medications or waste via receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, or disposal.
