Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN School

Overview

LPN position in the New Orleans area.

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Location:

Eastbank and Westbank. Pay: $30 per hour. This role involves providing patient care under supervision and supporting a school-based medical plan for a student with a profound medical condition during the 2026–2027 school year.

• Provide 1:1 care for a school-age child with a profound medical condition during the 2026–2027 school year.
• Monitor the student continuously throughout the school day.
• Report any changes in the student’s physical status and respond quickly in a professional and courteous manner.

• Active LA LPN License
• Active BLS Certification
• Current TB Skin Test, Quantiferon results, or Chest X-Ray
• Hep B vaccination (or declination)
• 1 year of nursing experience preferred
• Trach experience and G-tube feeding experience required
• Assignment is Monday–Friday for the entire school year
• Ability to provide continuous monitoring and communicate changes effectively

• Active LA LPN License
• Active BLS Certification
