Four years of experience in patient care; OR possession of a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate or graduation from an Emergency Medical Technician Program plus two years of experience in patient care; OR completion of an accredited registered or practical nursing program plus one year of experience in patient care.

NOTE:

Positions at facilities receiving certain Medicaid or Medicare funds require that applicants possess a current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.

Job Duties:

• Supervises and manages the nursing care provided across multiple units in a healthcare facility during an assigned shift.
• Serves as the lead nursing assistant, providing guidance and support to other subordinate staff.
• Prepares, reviews, and evaluates staffing schedules, resident assignments, and duty rotations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure proper coverage.
• Make rounds of inspection, review/records, and monitors the environment to ensure unit safety and sanitary conditions. Reports observations of patients' needs to the nurse in charge. Assists in restraints as needed. Exchange report of activities as shift change.
• Monitors staff compliance with facility policies and procedures. Approves and disapproves leave as requested by Nursing Assistants. Submits work schedule and leave paper to timekeeper as required. Orients new employees to unit/building.
• Performs other duties necessary for a smooth operation of the unit.

Appointment Type:
Probational, Promotional, or Detail to Special Duty

Work Schedule:

12 hours with rotating weekends. The shifts are Days 5:45 am - 6:15 pm.

Compensation:
The Nursing Assistant Supervisor 2 offers a SER rate of $17.38 hourly, along with a premium pay of up to $4.00 per hour. This is the minimum compensation that may be offered depending on qualifications.
