Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Health
Location:
Metairie LA and surrounding areas
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Weekly
Hours:
Guaranteed 40 hours
On-Call/Weekends:
None
Rate: $50.00 per hour
Contract assignment: 6 months +
Position OverviewOur client is seeking a dedicated Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a home health setting. This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no on-call or weekend requirements, making it ideal for nurses seeking work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in patients’ lives.
Territory & Travel- Coverage area includes New Orleans and surrounding communities
- Mileage reimbursement provided between patient visits (first to last visit) at the federal rate of 72.5 cents per mile
- Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes
- Assess patient conditions, develop care plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and health management
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency standards
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience with HCHB (Homecare Homebase) required
- Prior experience in a home health setting strongly preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong patient education and interpersonal skills
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, mobile care environment
