American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of high-risk OB experience and an active LA or compact RN license for a day shift assignment.
Details- Work in a high-risk OB unit within the Labor and Delivery department
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Unit manages 200-300 births per month
- Maintains a 1:1:2 patient ratio
- Float to the Mother/Baby unit as needed
- Weekend and call shifts required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active LA RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Experience in a facility with 200-300 births per month required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Two recent manager references required, dated within the last 12 months
- Provide care across antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, including high-risk deliveries and C-section circulating/scrubbing duties
- Manage complications such as hemorrhage, shock, pre-eclampsia, and placenta previa
- Perform fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
- Support newborn care including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessments
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Trauma Level II and community hospital experience preferred
- Scrubs provided by the hospital
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
- Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
- RTO requests of 5 days or less are generally accepted
