American Traveler is seeking a Labor & Delivery RN with 2+ years of high-risk OB experience and an active LA or compact RN license for a day shift assignment.

• Work in a high-risk OB unit within the Labor and Delivery department
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Unit manages 200-300 births per month
• Maintains a 1:1:2 patient ratio
• Float to the Mother/Baby unit as needed
• Weekend and call shifts required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active LA RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Experience in a facility with 200-300 births per month required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Two recent manager references required, dated within the last 12 months

• Provide care across antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, including high-risk deliveries and C-section circulating/scrubbing duties
• Manage complications such as hemorrhage, shock, pre-eclampsia, and placenta previa
• Perform fetal monitoring including external and internal fetal monitoring and IUPC placement
• Support newborn care including APGAR scoring, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessments
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Trauma Level II and community hospital experience preferred
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the local rate
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible to travel
• RTO requests of 5 days or less are generally accepted
