Join a compassionate healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant specializing in medical-surgical night shifts. In this role, you will provide essential support by assisting patients with daily living activities such as bathing, feeding, positioning, and bathroom needs, ensuring their comfort and dignity throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer telephone calls professionally and courteously.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document patient information accurately, including vital signs, intake and output, and weights.
- Deliver timely patient education and communicate effectively with peers, nursing staff, physicians, and administration.
- Adapt positively to changes and follow through on issues that may affect patient care using the proper chain of command.
- Collaborate well with team members and support group decisions.
- Ensure supplies and equipment are readily available and properly organized.
- Use personal protective equipment correctly and seek guidance from registered nurses as needed.
- Demonstrate skilled communication that aligns words with actions and encourage accountability among colleagues.
Education: Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant program is required.
Experience: Previous experience in a medical-surgical setting or similar healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory.
Requirements: Strong communication skills, ability to work night shifts, adaptability, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
