Work Location: Lake Providence, LA (in-person/onsite)
Pay: $28.00/HR–$30.00/HR, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time

About the PositionThe Wound Care Nurse coordinates the center’s wound care program and works closely with the interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal skin integrity and resident outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Coordinate and oversee the center’s wound care and skin management program.
Complete comprehensive resident skin and wound assessments.
Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans.
Monitor residents’ progress and communicate changes in condition to the appropriate members of the care team.
Participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned.
Apply knowledge and training related to infection control, wound care, and clinical best practices.
Participate in staff education, training, and meetings as appropriate.
Provide guidance and support to nursing staff regarding wound and skin care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsCurrent LPN license in the state of practice.
Recent clinical experience, education, or specialized skills related to geriatrics or long-term care.
Working knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and facility staff.
A compassionate, positive attitude and genuine interest in working with older adults and long-term care residents.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Preferred QualificationsPrevious wound care experience preferred.
Wound care certification preferred;
we are willing to support you in obtaining certification.
Experience in post-acute care or healthcare preferred.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
