We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to support project-site operations in Lafitte, Louisiana. This position is responsible for managing the receiving, inspection, storage, maintenance, and transfer of company- and client-procured materials and equipment to subcontractors across project sites.

The Materials Manager will coordinate closely with Procurement, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, project leadership, and subcontractors to ensure materials arrive on schedule and are properly documented, protected, and distributed. This individual may also direct the work of Field Materials Coordinators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development.

• Analyze material status reports to confirm shipments remain on schedule and present findings to project stakeholders.
• Advise the Procurement team of developments that could affect project costs, schedules, or client relationships.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and timing between Procurement and the job site.
• Direct and oversee the receiving process for all incoming materials and equipment.
• Implement and administer project material-reporting processes, including Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) and Over, Short and Damaged (OS&D) reports.
• Distribute material documentation to designated project and client personnel.
• Inspect materials and equipment delivered to the project site.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans.
• Establish, maintain, and oversee project-site warehouse facilities and laydown yards.
• Ensure materials and equipment are properly stored, protected, and maintained in accordance with project-contract requirements.
• Assist the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager with preventive maintenance and related recordkeeping for stored materials and equipment.
• Oversee the transfer of material and equipment custody to designated subcontractors.
• Direct and mentor Field Materials Coordinators when assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Comply with all applicable company policies, procedures, and standards.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 11 years of direct materials-management experience in the engineering and construction industry.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience working with Primavera scheduling reports and material or submittal tracking reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and management abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
