Location: New Orleans

Intralox, a division of Laitram, L.L.C., is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role is critical in ensuring that our suppliers meet the high standards required to support our innovative conveyance solutions across industries such as food processing, automotive, e-commerce, and industrial manufacturing. Monday–Friday (Overtime/weekend work as needed).
This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier-related continuous improvement initiatives aligned with critical success factors.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action processes for supplier issues.
  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive improvements using quality tools and systems.
  • Conduct and manage supplier audits to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to set and update product specifications and ensure alignment with internal requirements.
  • Maintain and improve documentation related to supplier processes and procedures.
  • Support and oversee quality training programs for supplier development.
  • Research and implement new quality technologies to enhance supplier performance.
  • Evaluate and improve supplier-related components of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Analyze supplier data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (any discipline).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment, preferably with exposure to plastics injection molding or supplier quality.
  • Professional quality certifications (e.g., ASQ, QAI, CSSC).
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Sigma

    XL, Infinity

    QS, or similar.

  • Working knowledge of quality concepts, tools, statistics, engineering processes, and change management.
  • Self‑motivated with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and collaborate across teams.
  • Analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound, objective decisions using good judgment.
  • Commitment to fostering trust and positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
