QC Lab Tech

Geismar, LA 70734 - 100% onsite

Duration: 12 months contract

Shift: 08:00 PM - 06:30 AM - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Night Shift role: 4 days/week. Overtime eligible role

The Quality Control Technician I must be able to perform the following laboratory operation tasks:

• Active participation in EHS initiatives and compliance, including adherence to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
• Establish proficiency in data management systems such as SAP and Documentum to perform tasks such as COA generation, quality release, procedure review, and analysis reporting
• Analysis and reporting of raw materials, in–process, and finished goods samples in conjunction with monitoring plant operations through analytical results
• Follow established SOPs & STIs
• Ensure documentation of lab activities, including batch sheets, logbooks, databases, worksheets, etc.
• Understand method precision and testing error
• Perform analytical calculations
• Support Quality Systems such as ISO and RCMS
• Maintain sample retain program
• Monitor and review instrument controls by use of routine instrument checks through calibration, verifications, and/or validation
• Provide instrumentation maintenance support by identification of maintenance needs and provide troubleshooting information prior to maintenance
• Effectively conduct shift relief (if applicable)
• Perform other job duties as assigned
