Location: Port Allen

Quality Control Inspector
Location: Port Allen, LA
Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM (may transition to Tuesday-Friday based on production needs)
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for extension
Position Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support quality assurance activities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing laboratory testing, inspections, documentation, and equipment maintenance while ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, EPA, and company quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform chemical analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, stability samples, validation samples, and R&D materials.
  • Collect, handle, document, and prepare laboratory samples, reagents, and standards.
  • Calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Review and verify the work of other laboratory analysts.
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate laboratory records.
  • Create and submit HOLD alerts, work orders, and other quality documentation as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Support special projects and additional quality initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a scientific or technical field required
  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field preferred
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment preferred
  • ASQ Quality Certification (CQE, CQA, or similar) is a plus
Skills
  • Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfortable enforcing quality standards, policies, and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory analytical instruments and inspection equipment
