Position will be scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Overtime and weekend work may be required as needed.
Job Responsibilities and RequirementsResponsibilities:
- Initiates and supports the setting specifications in cooperation with the Material Review Board, SPC Centering Process, Quality Specification Review Board, Assembly, and Engineering.
- Documents non-conforming product and ensures containment measures are implemented.
- Leads Root Cause and Corrective Actions (RCCA) meetings as well as preventive action efforts with various departments.
- Makes consistent and principle-based decisions using data, standards, and defined quality tools to disposition non-conforming product.
- Performs technical audits and documents observations and/or opportunities.
- Supports the development and/or updating of product specifications.
- Creates and/or improves the documentation of processes and procedures.
- Provides urgent support to production and effectively elevates issues as required.
- Participates and assists in the implementation or maintenance of the quality training program.
- Supports critical success factors and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintains equipment calibration and calibration logs.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent industry experience.
- Proficiency in standard computer software.
- Basic understanding of quality concepts, quality tools, probability, statistics, calibrations, and metrology.
- Passion for learning and growth with a demonstrated record of self-management.
- Proven track record of making consistent, logical, and objective decisions using good judgment.
- Ability to assume good intentions and exhibit trust in workplace relationships.
- Strong analytical, critical, and problem-solving skills.
- Sense of urgency and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desired
Skills:
- Work experience in a manufacturing quality environment or plastics injection molding.
- Professional quality certifications (ASQ, QAI, etc.).
- Excellent listening and communication skills, with strong ability to solicit buy in.
