Quality Assurance Specialist

THIS JOB IS AT THE PORT ALLEN PIPE FABRICATION FACILITY IN PORT ALLEN, LA

We are currently seeking a detail-driven Quality Assurance Specialist to support our pipe fabrication operations. This role ensures compliance with codes of construction while managing critical quality documentation and inspection activities.

Office area at fabrication facility

• Manage welder qualifications, continuity tracking, and ASME Section IX compliance
• Review project specifications before and after project awards
• Partner with Project Managers and the Engineering Department during job set-up
• Prepare and submit quality documents to clients, and track/resolve returned comments
• Develop project inspection & Test plans and coordinate quality requirements
• Attend pre-inspection meetings and communicate expectations to internal teams
• Turner Industries Group indoctrination
• Job site orientation
• Post-offer drug/alcohol drug screen
• Job site Personal Protective Equipment (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots etc.) required when in shop/yard areas
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace

• Experience in pipe fabrication QA/QC or industrial inspection
• Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, and Section IX
• Ability to read piping isometrics, weld symbols, and technical specifications
• CWI Preferred
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
• Must possess excellent skills and experience with the Google platform
• Must be self-directed and detail oriented
• Must be able to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines

• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment etc.
