Do you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and making sure quality is built in from the start?
ATEK Metal Technologies is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in New Hampton, Iowa. In this role, you’ll be an important link between Quality, Engineering, Production, our customers, and our suppliers. You’ll help ensure customer requirements are understood and met, support new product launches, investigate quality concerns, and drive improvements across our aluminum manufacturing processes.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable digging into the details, asking the right questions, and working alongside the team to find practical solutions that stick.
What You’ll Be Doing- Developing and maintaining PPAP documentation
- Creating and updating Control Plans, PFMEAs, and Process Flow Diagrams
- Supporting new product launches from development through production
- Leading root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Analyzing quality trends and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Partnering with Engineering and Production to improve processes and reduce defects
- Working directly with customers and suppliers on quality requirements and concerns
- Supporting ATEK’s ISO and IATF quality systems and audit readiness
- Helping drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the facility
- Enjoy being hands‑on and close to the manufacturing process
- Like solving problems and getting to the root cause—not just treating the symptom
- Are organized and comfortable managing detailed technical documentation
- Have a strong eye for detail and believe quality matters at every step
- Communicate well across different teams and levels of an organization
- Enjoy balancing independent work with collaboration on the production floor
- Want to make a visible impact on quality, processes, and customer satisfaction
