Traveling Electrical Quality Control Manager (Iowa) Position Overview
A leading electrical contractor is seeking experienced Electrical Quality Control Managers to support large-scale, technically complex construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical contracting background and experience implementing and managing quality control programs on data center, mission-critical, healthcare, airport, or similarly complex electrical construction projects.
Traveling Electrical Quality Control Manager Responsibilities- Lead and manage the electrical quality control program throughout all phases of construction.
- Perform inspections and verify electrical installations meet project specifications, drawings, applicable codes, and established quality standards.
- Coordinate with project management, field supervision, engineering, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain QC documentation, inspection reports, testing records, punch lists, and corrective action tracking.
- Identify potential quality issues early and work with field teams to implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Support testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities while maintaining a strong field presence throughout the project.
- Strong electrical contracting background required.
- Previous electrical quality control experience on large, complex construction projects strongly preferred.
- Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, hospitals, airports, or similar technical projects highly desirable.
- Thorough understanding of electrical construction methods, drawings, specifications, codes, testing, and inspection requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work effectively with field and project leadership.
- Candidates must be fully comfortable with and committed to a rotational travel schedule.
