Research And Development Position
We are the research. We develop future concepts, technologies, components, and materials for Mercedes-Benz Cars. We research the latest technologies for development and work together with worldwide leading experts in the areas of interior, exterior, digitalization, smart materials, new E/E technologies, as well as for components and systems.
Our team consists of highly motivated and friendly employees who are looking forward to your support in the operation of the Future Technologies Lab.
You will take responsibility for material and component testing, order control, equipment and machinery, as well as various tasks around our research prototypes.
You actively support the research operation and gain interesting and comprehensive insights into the activities and daily work routine.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Preparation of various material tests
- Conducting material tests on universal testing machines
- Documentation of results
- Material processing activities
- Assembly of smaller demonstrators
- Support in the development and design of textiles and interior materials
The activity can start from August to October 2026.
The final topic selection will be made in consultation with the university, you, and us.
Qualifications- Technical degree (textile technology, textile design, material sciences or comparable degree is advantageous)
- Technical training is advantageous
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Engagement and team capability
- Analytical thinking and strategic working method
- Valid car driver’s license class B for Germany
