Responsibilities
- Conduct independent and collaborative research within TRIAD's focus areas, including cardiovascular disease epidemiology, arrhythmia, and related health disparities
- Contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of TRIAD's funded research studies, including those incorporating community-based interventions and digital health technologies
- Pursue extramural funding opportunities and develop a sustained, externally funded research program
- Prepare manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication and present findings at scientific meetings
- Mentor graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and trainees on TRIAD research projects
- Collaborate with faculty across TRIAD's partner departments (Medicine, Epidemiology, Neurology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science)
- Participate in departmental and TRIAD meetings, seminars, and scholarly activities as assigned
- PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field (MPH also preferred)
- Demonstrated research experience in cardiovascular disease epidemiology, health disparities, and/or community-based interventions
- Proficiency in epidemiologic and biostatistical methods; experience with implementation science and/or AI applications in health research a plus
- Record of peer-reviewed publications commensurate with rank
- Demonstrated ability, or clear potential, to secure extramural research funding
- Strong record of, or capacity for, collaborative research across multidisciplinary teams
