Why Patients Need You
Pfizer’s purpose is to deliver breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. Research and Development is at the heart of fulfilling this mission as we translate advanced science into therapies and vaccines that matter most. As part of the Cell-Mediated Immunoassays (CMI) group, you will contribute to understanding immune responses that drive vaccine efficacy and safety.

What You Will Achieve
As an Associate Scientist in the CMI group, you will play a critical role in generating high-quality cellular immunology data to support Pfizer’s clinical vaccine programs. The primary focus of this role is to execute clinical assays, primarily flow cytometry, with the potential to support additional assays such as ELISPOT and ADCC. Beyond routine testing, you will help drive operational excellence by applying 5S, automation, and process optimization to strengthen laboratory workflows.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Perform high-throughput flow cytometry assays to characterize cellular immune responses
  • Support additional cellular immunoassays such as ELISPOT and ADCC as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with GxP and internal SOPs for all laboratory activities
  • Support the qualification of new assays and ensure accurate documentation of experimental work
  • Drive operational improvements, including 5S, laboratory automation, and process optimization, to increase the efficiency and robustness of testing workflows
  • Help uphold quality and compliance across CMI through sound documentation practices, data integrity, and audit-readiness
  • Prepare reagents, maintain inventory, and manage sample workflows efficiently
  • Analyze and interpret assay results and present findings to team members and leadership
  • Collaborate within the CMI group and cross-functionally to support vaccine development programs
