The Roberts Lab at Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium (LUMCON) seeks multiple postdoctoral research associates to lead field and laboratory research in wetland, estuarine, and coastal marine ecosystems. The position involves work on marsh mesocosm oiling experiments, coastal wetland carbon studies, microbial ecology, vegetation dynamics, and living shoreline restorations, with opportunities to develop independent research projects. Based at LUMCON's Marine Center in Cocodrie, LA, the role involves collaborating with PIs, other postdocs, graduate students, and research staff on interdisciplinary research.
Keyqualifications
- Ph.D. in biogeochemistry, ecology, oceanography, wetland science, plant ecology, or related field
- Ability to work collaboratively in a group setting with PIs, postdocs, students, and research staff
- Experience with field and laboratory instruments
- Understanding of basic experimental design and statistical analyses
- Professional communication and organizational skills
- Creativity in methodological development
