We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented Research Associate 1 to join our research team and support an innovative study investigating the genetic and epigenetic effects of chemotherapy in oncology patients. Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and postdoctoral fellow, the successful candidate will play an essential role in the day-to-day operation of the research project and must be capable of working independently with minimal direct supervision while maintaining high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and integrity.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as the position requires interaction with patients and collaboration with medical professionals, researchers, and trainees at various levels, including medical students, graduate students, residents, and fellows. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations, as well as the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced research environment.
Previous laboratory or clinical research experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in translational cancer research, contribute to impactful scientific discoveries, and work within a collaborative academic and clinical research setting.
