The Parts Specialist will provide all retail and installer customers with a high level of service. This position will also support store management in the accomplishment of assigned tasks.

Essential Job Functions

Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, etc.

Promptly greet retail/walk-in customers in a friendly, courteous manner and assist them in their selection of merchandise.

Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.

Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.

Provide excellent service to customers calling the store by answering all calls according to company policy, accurately looking up parts and quote prices, recommending related items, and offering the Low-Price Guarantee.

Accurately maintain and secure the cash drawer, accept cash and checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.

Process exchanges and returns for credit in a friendly manner, following company policies.

Address and resolve customer complaints amicably.

Assist with daily tasks like updating planograms, freight receival, stocking shelves, and cleaning.

Perform operational tasks such as merchandise returns, stock adjustments, and inventory counts.

Operate store testing equipment like brake lathe after training.

Perform in-store services (where legal) such as installing wipers, testing batteries, and scanning vehicle trouble codes.

Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle if business needs arise and driving record meets requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
Outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service skills.
Ability to multitask handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of automotive parts, cataloging, Weatherly Index system, and automotive sales or service.
ASE certification.
Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
