We are currently looking for the right Retail Store Management Trainee to join our team!
$13.00 to $22.40 per hour
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast‑tracking into a Store Management position. It requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $5.83 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of store management experience. The trainee is accountable for day‑to‑day operations, promotes a positive and productive environment, and partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, recruit and retain talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations. The trainee analyzes financial statements, commits to the company’s asset protection program, promotes the business, and targets new customer acquisitions across a wide variety of merchandise.
The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus tied to store performance; total compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers and addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor and assist in training pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes such as inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, store systems, and enterprise reporting.
- Evaluate the store’s financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
- Maintain operating standards that meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties requiring extended periods of standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others effectively.
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- Possibility of assisting customers outside the building or retrieving products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age: 18 years.
