Vice President of Retail
Location: New Orleans, LA (On-site)
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Vice President of Retail to lead and grow a rapidly expanding luxury retail organization. This executive leader will be responsible for developing and executing the overall retail strategy while ensuring operational excellence, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving profitable growth across a multi-location retail footprint.
The Vice President of Retail will oversee all aspects of the in-store business, including retail operations, field leadership, new store development, expansion strategy, and customer experience. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the future of the brand by identifying growth opportunities, building high‑performing teams, and creating scalable processes that support continued expansion.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the long‑term retail growth strategy.
- Lead all retail operations across a growing portfolio of stores while ensuring consistent execution and exceptional customer experiences.
- Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Regional Directors, District Managers, and Store Managers.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish annual business objectives, financial plans, and key performance metrics.
- Drive sales performance, profitability, and operational excellence across all retail locations.
- Oversee new store expansion, including market analysis, site selection, lease negotiations, store development, and successful grand openings.
- Create scalable operating procedures and retail standards that support continued growth.
- Analyze business trends and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and maximize profitability.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Marketing, Merchandising, Finance, Real Estate, Human Resources, and Ecommerce to ensure alignment across the organization.
- Foster a culture of accountability, leadership development, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure stores consistently deliver a premium, brand‑driven customer experience.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive retail leadership experience, including executive‑level responsibility within a multi‑unit retail organization.
- Proven success leading luxury, premium, lifestyle, or direct‑to‑consumer retail brands.
- Experience overseeing 20+ retail locations with responsibility for Regional and District leadership teams.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing retail expansion strategies, including new store openings and market growth.
- Strong understanding of retail financials, P&L management, forecasting, budgeting, and operational KPIs.
- Experience partnering with Real Estate and Development teams on site selection and lease negotiations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long‑term vision and day‑to‑day execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, and high‑growth environment.
