Summary/ObjectiveThe ReStore Lead Sales Keyholder supports daily ReStore operations by providing excellent customer service, supervising assigned shifts, and serving as Manager-on-Duty when the ReStore Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable.
The New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells donated building materials and home furnishings to the public at discounted prices. Inventory comes from individuals, corporations, and partner organizations, and proceeds support NOAHH's work serving families in the Greater New Orleans area.
The Lead Sales Keyholder is responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting cash handling procedures, supervising sales floor activity, assisting staff and volunteers, maintaining operational standards, and modeling Habitat for Humanity's mission through professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence.
Essential Functions- Serve as Manager-on-Duty when the ReStore Manager or Assistant Manager is unavailable.
- Supervise cashiers, sales associates, and volunteers during assigned shifts.
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed accurately and on time.
- Verify cash drawer counts, support deposit preparation, and maintain cash handling accuracy.
- Assist with training new employees and volunteers on store procedures and customer service expectations.
- Ensure merchandise is properly priced, displayed, and maintained on the sales floor.
- Monitor the sales floor, warehouse, and checkout area for safety hazards and report incidents promptly.
- Resolve customer concerns professionally and elevate issues when appropriate.
- Support inventory movement, merchandising, and donation intake as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout customer-facing and operational areas.
- Leadership and shift supervision.

- Cash handling and point-of-sale system experience.
- Time management and sound decision-making.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Inventory control and merchandising awareness.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Gmail.
