We’re looking for a Business Development Manager with experience in low voltage or integrated technology solutions—think AV, physical security (access control, CCTV), structured cabling, or critical communications—who approaches growth with curiosity, integrity, and a long-term mindset.
This role is centered on understanding client needs, solving real problems, and representing CEC in the market and community. You’ll work alongside a tenured technical and operations team to deliver solutions that support critical infrastructure, safety, and connectivity across industries.
What You’ll Do Build & Grow Relationships- Develop new business while strengthening existing client partnerships
- Establish trust through consistent, reliable engagement
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication and relationship management
- Understand client environments, challenges, and long-term goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape tailored solutions
- Guide opportunities from early conversations through close
- Build and maintain a healthy, intentional pipeline
- Track activity, opportunities, and forecasts within CRM systems
- Meet or exceed defined sales and growth targets
- Participate in industry events, networking, and community engagement
- Strengthen CEC’s presence and reputation within the region
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs
- Relationship-driven and consultative
- Focused on long-term partnerships over short-term wins
- Collaborative, working closely with technical and operational teams
- Transactional or high-volume sales
- A solo effort without internal support
- Focused solely on quick wins or short sales cycles
- A relationship builder who earns trust through consistency and follow-through
- Thirve in selling into commercial or healthcare environments with solutions tied to infrastructure, safety, or building systems
- Naturally curious—you ask questions, listen well, and seek to understand before solving
- Comfortable navigating technical conversations (or motivated to learn quickly)
- Self-directed, accountable, and motivated by meaningful work
- Active or interested in being active within your local business community
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Hands‑on sales experience in AV, security systems, cabling, or related infrastructure solutions—this is not a general sales role
- Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience working with CRM systems and managing a sales pipeline
- Ability to collaborate across teams to deliver client solutions
