Job Information

We have an immediate opening in our electrical division for a Territory Manager in either the Cedar Rapids, IA or Davenport, IA areas to call on a well‑established book of accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships in order to grow profitable business.
  • Implement the Sales Playbook process to support sales, margin, forecasting and 4 star customer goals.
  • Assist customers with problem solving, takeoffs, project layout/design and in quoting bills of material and project management as needed and with the assistance of our inside sales team.
  • Prepare, generate and follow up on quotations and communicate with Inside sales to turn quotes into orders upon request.
  • Cooperate with qualified suppliers to secure mutual business through joint calls.
  • Execute sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner and maintain a professional image of self and work environment.
  • Stay current on existing and emerging product and technologies including attending product training classes, trade shows and sales meetings.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products to assigned accounts.
  • Report competitive conditions and feedback from customers to management.
  • Develop an effective and productive working relationship with Inside Sales, Counter Sales and support personnel.
  • Complete sales call and expense reports on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience

    Required:

    3-5 years of industry experience in a sales role with demonstrated sales success.
  • Experience using CRM software like Salesforce, Hub Spot, etc.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite of products;
    Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time working at a desk in front of computer screens.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, throughout the day.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to talk on the phone and type emails.
Work Environment
  • Combination of office environment, driving, and customer facility environments.
