Position: Medical Account Specialist II - NEUROLOGY - NEW ORLEANS, LA
Location: New Orleans

Responsibilities

  • Engage Rare Neurology experts and key customers in an assigned geography; deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch products, grow brand share/revenue, and meet product goals.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to grow market share.
  • Partner with Reimbursement & Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics/trends, and support brand/corporate objectives in the territory.
  • Build strong working relationships with clinics, physicians, nurses, health care providers, patient advocacy groups, internal stakeholders, Reimbursement & Access, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, and Training/Trade.
  • Conduct rare neurology-specific market profiling (health care delivery, influencers, payer systems).
  • Use deep knowledge of customers/markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Create territory/account/customer plans; emphasize the "total account call" to educate all account personnel on commercially available products.
  • Develop and execute tactics in key accounts to establish/generate/expand market share.
  • Proactively identify business opportunities and coordinate team support (e.g., contracting pull-through).
  • Gain deep knowledge of each assigned account (business model, metrics, challenges, strategic goals) through internal research and stakeholder input.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree mandatory;
    Master’s or advanced education/certifications a plus.
  • 5+ years successful Neurology sales experience; specialty/biologic/REMS products strongly preferred (launch experience preferred).
  • 2+ years working with key thought leaders/high-influence customers in neurology-focused large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations.
  • Proven consistent sales performance in complex markets with integrity/compliance.
  • Results‑oriented; proven product launch success.
  • Strong account management; analytical/problem‑solving/planning skills.
  • Experience calling on large Neurology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.
  • Strong understanding of the Neurology therapeutic area and marketplace.
