Territory Account Manager (TAM)
This role is on the long‑acting HIV Injectable Treatment Sales team. The Territory Account Manager will develop strategic business plans, drive sales of HIV treatment to healthcare professionals, and manage integrated account teams to support the buy‑and‑bill model. The position requires a quick‑adaptable professional capable of influencing treatment adoption and partnering across functions.
Responsibilities- Deliver results through exceptional sales and service.
- Identify, target, and win new business by influencing HCPs to adopt long‑acting HIV treatment.
- Engage HCPs, nurses, staff, and administrators to understand clinical, organizational, and financial challenges.
- Leverage data analytics and market expertise to identify high‑priority prospects.
- Prepare and execute tailored business plans that help HCPs scale their treatment models.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Clinical Nurse Educators, Field Reimbursement Managers) to deliver an integrated product experience.
- Maintain a portfolio‑based selling mindset and close internal communication loops.
- Provide proactive customer service, anticipating and addressing HCP needs.
- Adapt execution plans to achieve performance goals using KPIs and business problem‑solving.
- Develop and nurture external relationships with key influencers and thought leaders.
- Act in line with ViiV’s culture, values, and compliance standards.
- BA/BS degree.
- 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 3+ years in specialty sales.
- Ability to travel domestically, including overnight, with a majority of time in the market.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Degree in Business, Marketing, or Life Sciences.
- Strong planning, organization, analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience influencing and collaborating cross‑functionally in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Sales success in complex market‑access coverage situations.
- Experience managing cold‑chain treatment products with HCPs.
- Knowledge of HIV treatment and/or prevention markets.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Experience partnering within an integrated account team model that includes multiple field‑based members.
